Overview
Linwood's Christmas Event will take place from 5:30pm onwards on Friday 5 December in Tweedie Hall.
When and where the lights are being switched on
Linwood’s Christmas lights switch-on is an indoor event in Tweedie Hall as part of a carol concert and this is now fully booked.
While the carol concert and switch-on moment is now fully booked, there are still plenty of free festive activities for you to enjoy elsewhere in Tweedie Hall.
The lights are being switched on at 7:30pm, by Depute Provost Cathy McEwan, Santa and competition winner Arya from East Fulton Primary School.
The switch-on moment will light up festive lighting across Linwood, including the town’s central Christmas Tree situated at the roundabout next to Kintyre Park.
Ticketing information
Due to limited capacity at the venue, the carol concert and lights switch-on moment is ticketed and is now fully booked.
There are lots of other free festive activities elsewhere in Tweedie Hall which you don’t need a ticket for. These include arts and crafts, kid’s Christmas discos, festive storytelling and a giant snow globe.
Linwood Library is also open until 7:30pm with festive activities on offer.
What happens after the lights switch on
The event finishes at 7:30pm but some activities like the giant snow globe and festive walkabout acts outside the Tweedie Hall will continue until 8pm.
