What the consultation is
We're looking at options to improve walking, wheeling and cycling between Paisley and Barrhead.
We've commissioned transport consultants AECOM to develop proposals for a new safe and sustainable active travel route in the area.
The area being considered is between Ben Nevis Road, Paisley, at the National Cycle Network connection, and Barrhead Train Station.
This project and consultation is being run in partnership with East Renfrewshire Council.
You can see more information on the project in the Paisley to Barrhead active travel route project overview document.
Why we’re consulting
We're looking to develop a route that best meets the needs of those who live, work and travel in the area.
AECOM has identified several options for the active travel route, and we would like to hear your views on the options we're considering.
This will help us to select a preferred option to take forward to the concept design stage.
